Thanks for the many responses. I finally narrowed it (if you can call
it that) down to Yahoo Groups, Facebook, LinkedIn and Ning. Came up
with some pros and cons for each and turned it over

I like Ning. The only downer about Ning is that you have to be logged into the site to do anything.
