Job Description

The National Knowledge Management organization (NKM) is initiating a recruiting process for a social media strategist to assist with internal and external social media initiatives. This position will work with marketing and communications, talent, legal, risk management, compliance, operations, and knowledge management teams to lead the development and execution of a social media strategy and to evaluate social media activities for alignment with policy. Location is flexible; preferred cities include: Costa Mesa CA, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hermitage TN, Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, or New York.
 
Roles and responsibilities include: 
  • Contribute to the creation of a longer term strategy and action plan for social media at Deloitte and manage the delivery of those aspects of the plan assigned to you
  • Track the rapid growth of social media tools on the internet and identify the best ways to leverage new capabilities to meet strategic initiatives.
  • Work with solutions and technology teams to design applied solutions
  • Manage and/or contribute to the social media knowledge site as the centralized source for internal and external social media and social media service offerings
  • Develop and leverage global relationships to propagate best practices and eliminate redundancy
  • Assist with monitoring/moderation to ensure internal and external Firm social media activities are aligned with firm policy.  Assist in developing new policy, as needed.
  • Demonstrated expertise with social media tools, concepts, and best practices
  • 5–7 years previous work experience in the social media or online community field.
  • Experienced, creative, independent thinker with excellent analytical, collaborative and negotiation skills; critical thinking and proactive problem solving abilities, coupled with extremely strong verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Passion for social media tools and concepts
  • Proven project management experience with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, cross–functional stakeholders and remote teams
  • Works well under pressure and can effectively and professionally handle tough issues in a complex, matrix organization
  • Requires little supervision
  • Highly proactive, self starter
  • Strong presentation skills. Ability to communicate with professionals at all levels within the Firm.
  • Experience with electronic knowledge, intranets/portals, collaborative and social media tools
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Flexible, not averse to constant change
  • Experience working as a change agent to influence others
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Prior experience in a professional services environment a plus
  • Potential/desire to grow in order to meet the advancing requirements of the position
