KM Awards #awards
Marcie Zaharee
I am reviewing our corporate KM Awards program and would like to do some informal benchmarking for best practices. I am interested in learning about other KM Award programs: how award entries are submitted, what criteria are used, how many judges there are, how the awards are presented, and anything else you would be willing to share. Please let me know if you would be willing to have a 30 min conversation to share information on our respective KM Awards programs.
Thank You

Marcie,
I'd check with the folks at Fluor about their Knowvember
Campaign. It has been a while since I heard the details, but at the time
it was one of the most innovative programs I was aware of. Here is a link to a write

Marcie,
I retired from Fluor in March. I'll be happy to share the programs we had in place. - John McQuary Jmcquary@... |

Marcie, I concur with Allan, the Fluor Knowvember program is the best example. I wrote a case e study about it in 2009. The other one that I am most familiar with is the SIKM Forum awards (Singapore Innovation & KM, on which I have periodically been a judge). This on has around 10 judges each making comments through an on line "discussion forum" to assess the quality of programs. There are cycles of submission: initially judges comment or ask questions and an SIKM representative visits the organisation. Then there is a resubmission based on the feedback to clarify judge comments/questions or provide more evidence of claims as required,. I am sure you can download the requirements from the site.
